Our water, hygiene, and sanitation program aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities in communities. We offer the construction of boreholes, wells, and latrines, as well as hygiene education to promote healthy behaviors such as handwashing. Our program also includes the provision of water treatment and purification systems.

Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation

At STAR Health Improvement and Livelihood Development Program, we believe that access to clean water and sanitation facilities is a basic human right. Our water, hygiene, and sanitation program aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities in communities.

We offer the construction of boreholes, wells, and latrines, as well as hygiene education to promote healthy behaviours such as handwashing. Our program also includes the provision of water treatment and purification systems.

Through our program, we have seen a significant improvement in the health of the communities we serve. There has been a reduction in waterborne diseases such as diarrhoea and cholera. We have also seen an increase in school attendance, particularly among girls who previously missed school due to a lack of private sanitation facilities.

One success story is the case of Mr. John, a community leader in a rural community. Through our program, a borehole was constructed in his community, providing access to clean water for the first time. He reported that the reduction in waterborne diseases had led to increased productivity, as community members were no longer falling ill and missing work.
